silly question...should there be two lists of iconic midschool frames?

1" threaded and 1 1/8" ahead? you know...early mid...which is actually old school tech mostly, 1" threaded but 990s starting to appear, and acutal mid, when the bikes got strong and heavy?

Joe- were you asking for a thread of peoples “Favourite” frames from the 90s, or for the frames that people thought were the most “Iconic”? I think anyone who lists 5 frames from one bike company is either using hindsight in their favour, or they were very blinkered at the time. Im not even going to bother giving my suggestions for 5 frames, (the ones I’d pick have all been listed already) but if I did, they sure as hell wouldn’t be a list of frames from only one company.

(having said all that, I do LOVE that LENNY-LENTINI listed different colour Holmes frames, like they were totally different bikes!  :2funny:)

HaHa, nice one Alex

You caught me using the power of suggestion, that in my opinion nothing can compete with The Holmes as 'The' Iconic frame of the nineties.

Was gonna list Holmes (green) and Holmes (Black) as 3rd and 4th but then decided other frames deserved a shout.

Keep the faith Brother. L

tough one!

through much thought though (of the later 90's generation);

standard shorty/lengthy.   blew the industry over with strength!..... and weight!
standard sta.
standard bicycle motocross.   the dna of the sta and bicycle motocross flows through the trailboss, t1 progression, fit bikes etc
s&m clitoris....errr......i mean dirtbike/holmes........because every c*%ts got one
t1 barcode.   was just 'so cool'

2] Haro single downtube thing
3] Fishbone Ninja
4] DNA Hopper
5] Haro Zippo

Some of the most moronic mid school frames. Hope that helps.

Ah sh1te - we can go moronic as well? In that case:

1. Hoffman Evel Kinieval - for being possibly one of the heaviest POS known to foul the late 90's
2. Anyone who thinks there's a difference between a Hoffers TAJ and a T1 Barcode ;) (Yes not a bike but a gripe)
3. The Condor (or the film Condorman).

There's more but I feel bad for posting.......

Not a make I know much about tbh but I was out of bmx in the 90s if the s&m Sabbath was 90s, I would say that should be pretty high on a list, fat black beanie street riders ride of choice for a long time.

Bully was a good shout

Bashguard haro master?

dirtbikes or Holmes don't fit unless you are looking for 90s iconic like burners were iconic in the 80s

I may be getting muddled up but I think the wtp pony came out first, closely followed by the thrillseeker & kh01.
