Noob questions
« on: March 15, 2011, 10:26 PM »

There seems a lot of NOS parts advertised on ebay from Asia generally are these legit or repos?

SR GT Mallet stem without a potts mod are replacement potts mod bolts readily available? Also anyone know if these can stems be easily anodised?

Shimano DX pedals - A silver NOS pair went on ebay for £165 does this seem a fair price? If buying used ones are the scuffs/pits repairable?

GT decals are these easily sourced?

Bar ebay and here any other advice on places to look for parts or is that trade secrets.

Cheers Chaps.

thanks brett didn't know about retrospect  :-[
pricey but still not as bad as vertego (at least for the bits I saw, biaggio wants nearly 2x the amount for a suntour clamp)

I used porkchop (good for small, light bits esp grips as keeps the postage down) & alans but by far the best deals came from RAD  :daumenhoch:
site supporter tag is well worth it

Don,

Hang in there, you're probably like me - Really keen to get back into some cool BMX  but take your time and know exactly what you want !, this shit is very very expensive due to sheer demand i guess, but if you keep your eyes peeled stuff does pop up, but if its something that you want don't spend too long thinking about it or it'll be gone i the blink of an eye, i've missed a couple of bikes and a frame because i hesitated  :'(

I need to get a site supporter tag but even freeing up that small amount can take some planning  :-[

those mallet stems from asia are not SR..... SR made 2 mallet stems one for pots bolt and one non the potts bolt version had a larger hole :daumenhoch:

Thanks stevencosta are can the non potts be modified to take a potts mod?

So is a lot of the asia stuff fake then?
