I'm going to try a bit of 'nottz science' and put some LIDL clingfilm over my decals to keep the grime off

just had a look at the met office weather site and it's saying heavy showers at the starting point and heavy rain at the finish line   

also wind of 30mph with gusts of up to 50mph FFS!!

Still a few peeps to tap up at work - after taking my bike into the office yesterday they now know how small (but heavy) my haro is 
would be tempted to use the silverfox as it's a lot lighter, but as the seatpost is stuck tight I can't get it to a good height for road riding

I see that the winds will be coming from the SW too, so no chance of using a sail for extra propulsion...!

picked up 2 new inner tubes and a padded seat cover today (get that baby to fit tonight) packed a set of allen keys, driver set and a multi tool, set of cable ties and a pair of tire levers. wet weather jacket, padded shorts (wet denim in no fun) sunglasses and a mesh back.
