AH now then ,ive learnt something again now following this thread ,when i bought my ame rounds they where sold as original 80's grips but just checked out logo comparing to these and they look like re'issue, which i dont mind too much  :-\ , cos wer only a tenner but my question ,is the rubber composition any different to originals? ie softer or harder ? :) :daumenhoch:

Hmmmm.... I always thought the "Bubble Font" Ame's in pic 2 were the earliest followed by the ones in pic 1  ::)

I doubt it Ed , I've sold 3 pairs of original ( not dyed)Blacks and blues  Ame grips and the most I got was £32 ,down to £20 recently

If your selling dyed grips they should be stated as dyed as they aren't worth any more.

Rounds , tris and Cams always top out at that price

It's only the Unitrons and Duals that make about £50  :)

I bought a pair of White Bubble Font Tris and the ad said '2nd issue'.....

The packet has the new style logo but the grips are Bubble Font....

So are these repops of the original ones....?

ame repopping the bubble font tris and rounds is news to me,but having said that ive got rounds and duals which are bubble font and i know they are from the 80's cos theres a subtle differance to a set of tris  bubble fonts i have nos nip.the nip ones although having the bubble font have a very subtle rectangle around the font, part of the mould if you like where as my other sets dont have this.also i have two sets of duals which dont have the rectangle mould around either,i also sold a set of tris again bubbles which had the rectangle, are you still with me on this :LolLolLolLol:
in summary i guess the repops have the rectangle mould mark around the font where as the og's dont  :-\
