well done keep this original  :daumenhoch: one of my earliest memories of bmx this must be 1981/2 my mate had a white one that had cobra grips
remember the union jack sticker thats i think why it stays with me  :smitten: :daumenhoch:

Me and Cotty (thanks Cotty ,,for sourcing the frame ) were talking about these saying they used to have them for hireing at Southport  track /pier  BITD and they were Black and yellow with the Cobra grips ,,,thats why this Piranha  had to have Yellow Fuan Cobras  8) 8) 8) 8)
now im really pushin my mind back but if remember correctly im sure it had metal mag wheels but im not 100%  :-\

Yeah Rick they did them with either the metal cast Banana mags or Aero Zytec mags with the sealed bearing hubs

the first ones had thin 5 spoke ally mgss

I had a white piranha in the early 90's looks like yours but didnt have a gusset and had aero zytec mags on it.

Matt

If it had aero tubing it would have been the Piranha XL , Matt  :daumenhoch:

Probably a decent sized bike I expect at least 19 or more toptube

,, as I was surprised this standard Piranha frameset is Pro size 18.5  and not 17" ish as you'd expect  :)

believe it or not these early thin spoke piranhas mags were swapped for coaster brake moto mags bitd so that people could get rid of the coaster, i know of at least 4 bikes/riders that did tise bitd.  the piranhas normaly gained steel rims for some reason
