would recomend soaking in oxallic acid for a bit     should get all the rust off :daumenhoch:     ;D

Thanks for the advice guys but i think i'm still going to try the vinegar method,i'll pick some up tomorrow and give it a try. I will keep you posted with some more pics of the progress,cheers
