SUMMER RACING north

has anyone got the dates for the summer races yet?
i need to build a bike and just wondered how long iv got

The last 2 seasons the 1st race has been mid-end of april  :daumenhoch:

July 17 might get moved because they've moved the Redditch National to July 16/17.
There's also rumblings that people might want to move the Bradford one in case some riders want to go to the Birmingham regional on that date  :idiot2:

Possibly; I don't think there were many other options after the calendar got messed up so that a handful of riders could get to practice before a Euro meet :wtf:

As before 6 rounds needed for end of season trophy and official ranking.
5 rounds needed for Brits qualification.
If you miss rounds through injury [doctor's note needed] or working abroad etc then dispensation can be granted via application to the North region, at a cost of the normal race fee for your class.

There was a suggestion that 'day passes' could be used for non-BCF OS riders to race at the Show n Shine at Preston. This will be looked into.

4 meets with 1 week between them... then no meet for 5 weeks. I'm sure it's difficult to arrange the North Region calender but this seems absurd.

And wasn't one of the reason the Winter series was cancelled was so that the Summer series could start earlier and avoid fixture congestion?

Sorry to sound like a whinger - I think North Region do a great job and I know it must be really difficult for the comittee to juggle International, National  and Regional races.

I say fook 'em . dont do the series .The whole series squeezed to accomodate a bunch of world class moto fillers. Its my opinion that the whole things sucks big bangers and I personally will be doing the bare minimum , just enough to keep my hand in . They ( BCF ) dont give a fook about the common man who just wants to go racing and have a laugh and a bit of banter , and race our old 20" bikes , its all too elitist with only a handfull of elite quality riders.   :angrysoapbox: Im normally quite reserved but the whole thing is bugging me  :shocked:

Agreed - the dates obviously have to be agreed from "top to bottom" so to speak - so that the internationals are set before nationals, and nationals before regionals etc. I'm certainly not suggesting that a North Region regional should take precedance over a UEC race.

Looking at that huge list of dates it looks like the South and Midlands summer series' start/started in March, I just wonder if it would have made sense to start the North reigion series in March too? There was no Winter series to clash with.

To reiterate, I think the North Region comittee do a great job of arranging the regional meets :daumenhoch:

imo they (north region committee) should have brought preston forward to either march 27th or april 3rd and got the summer series going early instead of having 3rds a week after each other :2gunsfiring_v1:

 :shocked:   Thanks BCF you really know how to look after your NE members. The winter racing was non existent and now the SS is to be crammed in to selective summer months.

Why not start the series in Feb or March?

that is b*llocks if they have moved the Preston race to June. I've booked my hols around all the dates,. It was bad enough they moved the Reddich National but I presumed they would just move the Preston regional to that date.   :2gunsfiring_v1: :2gunsfiring_v1:
