Jusy wondered why there are so many types of bottom brackets euro, spanish, US & MID  ETC.
& are some better than other ??

All plop except Mid on new school bikes. IMO.


Mid are basically the bearing part of a US bb.

US BB's are only really necessary when using a 1pc in NS bikes.

Euro are threaded and more suitable for racing.

Spanish are smaller than mid, and therefore lighter, but sadly weaker due to the smaller bearing size.
