close to looking like a T III - so what make it different - what can be tale tell signs ?

Hard to tell from the pics but I don't think it can have the fluted top and down tubes because of the tube diameter.
No flared seat tube or Aero Chainstays and the gusset holes look too big.

From the angles its hard to tell how the geometry compares.

It'd be good to see the weld quality. It could still be a well made Jap frame

still a nice looking frame that will be sweet with the right parts

some times you can have a nice looking bike on a unknown cheaper frame

don't know about that other tange ? frame !

You're not wrong mate. Like I said, it could still be a well made bike.
If people think they're getting something they're not.
That could be a bit of a problem.
