someone on here was trying to put gears on a bmx - can't remember who at the mo but they were looking to do a sturmey archer-type job
there's probably a good reason that's a 'one-off'  :D

would be handy for the london to brighton ride in september though, some of those hills are quite steep  ;)

it was paul ,,,, think they did two speed ,,,,, hole shot for a quicker start ,,then change gear


theres a guy on here running one ,and one using it at mk

Thats me!!

5 speed sturmey archer.     To  make a 20" more of a tourer.

Sounds crazy and it probably is..................but if we didn't experiment then we'd be stuck with the penny farthing!!

Plus its a laff!!!  :D

Bigplinky (Andy Lincoln ) has a Browning 2 gear set up on his Maximum  :daumenhoch:

It a double front chainringset up though , rather than a rear derailleur you've shown  :)

I've had a go and it is fooking top quality smooth , very nice technical mechanism from the early 80's  :daumenhoch:

It won a BOTM a few years ago I think  :)

 :) I was referring to the price. The bike is a POS-putting gears doesn`t change the fact that the seller is in dreamland.  :daumenhoch:
