yet another question for u all , right ive just had my peregrine 48s made up and i got my sport frame resprayed now im dying to build it up but am terified of damaging the dropout paint ( yes i feel like a scared lil girl but the paint looks so nice  lol ) does any one have any tips for me as im only used to building rides im gonna trash so this has never been an issue and my khe i reusected still has all its battle scars so wasnt a problem with that one either so any help would b great  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

get some dropout savers from cuckoo (lee)
only trouble is they look so nice you might worry about scratching them  ;D

Nylon washers are cheap and readily available but are for show use only.  Dropout savers would be required for a rider.   :daumenhoch:

eBay has black or white.  I'm sure M10 is correct size for 10mm axles so here they are...

You can also use 6mm nylon washers on your brakes so the forks/brake bridge doesn't get marked.   :daumenhoch:

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

right i get how they save the outside of the dropouts but what about the inside or am i just bein dim ?? :uglystupid2:

surely just a plain flat washer would stop any paint damage, your not supposed to crank them up so it all spins round scratching and crushing the drop outs ?  just do them up gently and firmly, take your time, hold the washer and refrain from using all your weight to crank it up, use a decent torque wrench.
