please - how do i change my pedal arm - do i undo the nut on the bracket on the opposite side of the chain??  :idiot2:

Ignore the tards in the corner!!!

If its a US BB (Big one with a one piece crank) then you need to remove the pedals first, then undo the lock nut first  (remember its a left hand thread!). Then remove the washer, then undo the the large one the same way. Remove the bearing race and slide the crank out the other side. :daumenhoch:

its a left hand thread!!!!!!! std threads are right hand :LolLolLolLol:

thanks all!!  ive managed to undo the nut and now the bigger one, with the slot like a screw - i was able to undo the same way but getting tight - do i use a hammer and put screwdriver into slot and tap a bit???

ahhhh, i started undoing it the wrong bloody way again!

now ive managed to do the difficult bit, i just need to find a spanner to undo the bloody pedals!
