Ok finally geting round to starting this build frame and forks have been at my workplace for months now took ages to get the 3 piece crank of with out to much damage but the forks are still there as the bar clamp is rusted in so quite a major op going on.

So got the frame home tonight to see if there is chrome under all this rust also try and find out exactly what i have im thinking it's a yamaha 501?? only 2 real things to identify on BB 2 like weld spots 1 covering a hole that has been drilled through BB??? also it has a number stamped on the gusset 61396AZ??? anyone?

Ok here are some pics before round 1
