« on: January 24, 2011, 09:08 PM »
theres still a couple of bits ive got to get, new chain and sprocket, but its rideable and it rides great. its nice to have a bike that i dont mind using and am not scared to jump on so it doesnt break. however it does take some real getting used to having the right hand lever working the back brake but thats how they all seem to be  :idiot2:

forks: odyssey classic race
bars: bicycle union magic bullet
stem: perv (to be changed)
headset: vocal

lever: odyssey m2
cables: odyssey
brake: eclat
cranks: profile
sprocket: dk 25t (to be changed)
bottom bracket: stolen revolver
hubs: eclat teck
rims: hazard lite rr and eclat aero wall front
seat: shadow conspiracy pivotal

the tyres are chas and daves and they seem ok, ive taken it over the skatepark today and it wasnt very dry, they coped well on the metal ramps. i dont reckon they would be much use off road though as the tread is more street orientated.

Sweet ride that, love the frame, was very tempted to get one myself, one day.......

Swap the lever over, its your bike, just because others do it, don't mean its right.

Personally, I prefer it set up like yours, but would swap in a minute if I wasn't comfy with it.

Steve , whats the weight like ? its a heavy frame but i guess the forks lighten up the front end , are the bars 8" rise ?

i have one on order but need to buy the parts , im a 6 footer so not sure what bars/stem to go for  :-\

great looking build , one of the best ones  :daumenhoch:

i weighed it on the wii fit and it comes in at 10.4kg which according to an online calculator is 22.9lbs. the bars are 7.9" rise. im not the tallest of people and it rides beautiful. i am well impressed with it. im undecided on what stem to go for on this as well. possibly an eclat one as it will match the hubs/brakes but i really wanted one with the gyro tabs built in  :-\

i didnt build it to be light, i chose the parts mainly because i liked the look of them/ price, in fact i hadnt even thought about weight until one of the lads at the local skatepark asked to pick it up to see how heavy it was and he seemed really impressed, so when i got home i weighed it. i suppose if i really thought about it theres is more weight i could lose off it if i wanted to (but im not going to)
