1" Dirtbike F&F value?
« on: January 29, 2011, 01:05 PM »
Ok mid school dudes... need to do a bit of a clear out and I have this but not sure what to sell it for... I dont do ebay so dont tell me to stick it on an auction  ::)

The frame is minty with a fresh powder coat and new repro decals, pitch forks are survivors with fresh repro decals, chrome is about 7.5/10, bit of surface rust coming through at the bottom of the steerer, shoudl come up well with a OA bath and a polish but I CBA!

I picked mine up in original well used condition with a minty shafted redneck for £113, yours is mint so more i would say, hard to tell at the minute though Del, Betty had his mint chrome holmes frame n pitchforks up at £150 and it took a while to go, which is a stupidly cheap price in my opinion.

Good luck if you sell it, its lovely  :smitten:

If I had the cashola this month I'd have that in a heart-beat  :smitten:

But yeah - they seem to fetch around the 120-150 at the mo', although I agree that's cheap :(

No dude it wasn't one of mine, my yellow one was SMD 8657

As others have said Del, anywhere between 120-150 might bring a bit more if you ebay it and you're willing to ship to the states, but by the ebay/paypal take their slice it doesn't seem worth it

Dunno why values seem so low, cracking bikes to ride...  :daumenhoch:

For anyone considering an offer Dels way, I sold my very very nice Deluxe frame laced with Profile and Ti bits before Xmas, my Dirtbike same as this became my rider, 20.25 TT and I am 6'1...Its one of the nicest bikes I have ever ridden, its an inch shorter than the Deluxe and 8lbs heavier   but it rides MUCH nicer.......... (oh and it cost 1/5th of the Deluxe to put together)

Go on BUY IT

Hey Del

Diggler is right, I'm 6 foot and recently I have been ridin my Dirtbike and its 20.25 top tube and it rides sweet. Probs the best feeling bike I have ever ridden. The Holmes only comes out now for O/S nights and get  togethers.

If I was you Del I would build the Dirtbike (Cos it is fckn gorgeous) Mid skool parts are going for low low prices at the moment but in a few years time it could be very different.

By the way cheers for all the stickers you did for me last year.
