Not everyones cup of tea on here but here she is:
Me and my sparring partner Glynnyboy went out last weekend for a (very cold) photoshoot for my newest addition to my Burner family
I have no decent photo's of before as i got the bike in bits and bobs over a 12 month period starting with the f&f+bars.
This was the second Burner i had as a kid.I got one in 84' and had it until i were 19 then i gave mine away to a cousin of mine (i did ask the cousin if she still had it when i got back in the game in 2007 but sadly she'd got rid of it years previous )
So the aim for me once i got back into it was to someday build one but other projects kept getting taken on and the idea just kept getting pushed back.
Then one day i got the job of building a MK2 Supertuff for a member on here and he gave me a couple of frames and 3 sets of 'sealed' forks and a good few other bits as well (the frames were Full Cro-mo) so this was ideal as a 'base' for my long awaited MK2 Supertuff.
Anyway after sourcing the rest of the other bits and finally having the cash to throw at it eg...Chrome work, annodising work etc...i finally finished it a couple of weeks ago.....
The ONLY NOS parts that are on this are the pedals and grips and cables. The rest of the parts have been restored.
My sweet golden chariot :
the thanx list:
F&F...aml74
Skyway Tuffs...aml74
MK2 Seat post...aml74
Bars...ebay
Sugino stamped crank...Burnerphil
Tange BB...Strawsonp
Maxi Cross pedals...Glynnyboy
KMC Gold chain...ebay
Gold Superchrome...fhmreader
Tange grips...Vert-ego
Cheng Shin Comp III tyres...Wilkin
Padset...Carl Davey
Decals...Spike 371
Gold 'richbrook' valve caps...ebay
The F&F+Bars were all re-chromed before the Superchrome was laid on..
All the chrome work and zinc work was done by Buttsbikeshop
All the annodise work was done by CCA
I cannot remember where i got the front and rear reflectors and brackets from
I had the DC 1020 Tech III brakeset already. Also the chainring, chainguard and Suntour Arrow seat clamp.
I refurbished the Aeroyal seat myself.I also did all the polishing myself eg...wheel nuts, the Tuff hubs etc...

Great job Russ
Much prefer this type of resto rather than throwing a load of NOS bits at it

Great resto Russ
Attention to detail is spot on , you,Dave,Glynn,Neil and a few of the other burner lads certainly know how to throw a nice one together
Like a few of the others have said I love the fact it's a resto as opposed to an NOS build
Nice pics too!
