James Nada's Ramp City Recovery Update
« on: January 21, 2011, 04:50 PM »
Some of you will be aware that I suffered a bad leg break at  Blackpool Ramp City on December 10th, resulting in metal plates, screws and all sorts of nastyness.

I had my six-week assesment today and it's positive news.

My broken bones are healing very well and no longer need a cast! I'm allowed to partial weight bear (with crutches) on my leg.

I've got very little movement in my ankle but that should come back with time and physio. I see the consultant again in two months, buy which time I should hopefully be as good as fixed!

(p.s. I asked when I could ride a bike again and he said in two months! I'll probably leave it a while longer until I'm racing again though).

Partial Weight Bear  :)

Heavy Weight Bear  >:D

All the best with the recovery and full healing vibes ... my collar bone bust from May is a 'symptomatic non-union' which is a non healer...  :(
