They look like two new bikes !!!!!!! ive seen lots of Black ultra's restored but not one Silver/blue yet

Look sweet those Dave but correct me if I'm wrong, didn't the super tuff burner have the annodised chainwheel with the gold guard attached?

Yep... I'm afraid your wrong...

Mk1 Super Tuff Burner....

Mk2 Super Tuff Burner (came with a Black guard)

Maybe your getting the Super Burner mixed up... which DID come with a gold guard.

There are at least half a dozen restored examples on BURNERWORLD.

This is one of the best ones.... Julian Taff's....

on Boxing day I went through the V bar doing a trick..........yes I went through it I snapped it clean off !!!!!!

Its not a fixation.... Burner collectors like to build factory spec models, they came from the factory with Reflectors

on Christmas morning 1982 there it sat under the Christmas Tree with its nice little reflectors...

Yes most of us pulled them off by new year.... but when trying to build a bike that looks like it did in the Raleigh Brochure, them odd little reflectors are all part and parcel.

I've got some wheel reflectors for the Ultra Burner but haven't put them on yet...

OUCH...!! the bars on the Ultra are very very light... Alloy, nice bars but I can understand why they'd give way...

gonna do me one of these soon.
sick of building bikes i never seen much of bitd.
everyone i knew had a burner of some sort at the start.
we all up graded but they still started loads of in the sport.

I know they weigh a tonne and the geometry is shocking... but it was my introduction to BMX and all I ever knew.

Nostalgia trip every time I build a new one, and its been great building these for someone else.

Never had one before ,,, but I do now

Once I've got the seat it will be 100% factory spec ,, seems stupid taking the Kashimax MX off it , to put a copy one on
