Frame ID please
« on: January 16, 2011, 07:06 PM »
Peeps had this a little while got bored today so got out stripper and spent a few hours in the garden. Anyway not to sure what could be thought it was a schwinn what i got it but i dunno lots frames out there like this.

Pionts: no frame serial and the seat clamp was spot welded on to the frame. It's a nice light frame.

:) Looks very Akisu like.Is that a kickstand mount behind the bb? Spot welded seatclamps are often a sign that it`s a fairly low-end frame.

Yes it is a kickstand and i agree about being low-end but it's not a bad looking frame and as i say it's very light, most of the low end frames ive had in the past have been heavy.

first thought Schwinn Thrasher     (http://www.vintagebmx.com/community/lofiversion/index.php/t27038603.html)                  as that has similar gusset and a stand but rather unlikely nevertheless f.ex. because of: welds -- too dirty -- + no serial + you in UK not US
i might have another look in the morningsky'## :yahoo_silent:

falcon pro theta might be a good guess, althogh.. the welds....

---------

PS: quite a few bikes had that SPECIFIC holy gusset style with the cut off angle: f.ex. Suzuki, Lazer, Royce Union (?), lotus cobra MX-1, Hanter ... some of them have a kickstand....

Falcons also had a headtube badge riveted on. Are there two small holes in the headtube ?????
