Bent Drop Out .. What To Do?
« on: December 31, 2010, 06:13 PM »
Just picked up this JMC Shadow frame, lovely condition apart from the drop outs that both have a bend in them, is there any way to straighten them out? or are they beyond fixing. Any advice or help much appreciated.

An adjustable spanner also works well as it doesn't have sharp lines like pliers and you get a bit more leverage...

cut a slit in a bit of wood and slide dropout into the slit to bend it, leaves no marks on the chrome at all  :daumenhoch:

:) If it was a Skyway dropout you could stick it in the freezer overnight and it`d be straight in the morning :daumenhoch:
