Crimes against ramp building #1
« on: May 03, 2006, 09:32 PM »
There was a lot of building going on in our village.
One Christmas, once the sites had knocked off for the holidays, we 'got in' to the compound and liberated enough materials (and tools) to make ourselves a halfpipe.
We all got a couple of weeks of riding out of it

Oh, and thats a HARDBOARD surface ...

Peeps in the photo are Elliott (now on 24" i believe), Stu Smith (thats a Haro race bike) and Jay "Sponge" Allen (now ruling trails and parks worldwide)

Got a similar thing in my back yard  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Kinda looks like my first quarter pipe.  Plywood layered together.  Except mine was 4 feet tall eight feet wide, no nails or screws, and I built it on an access road in the middle of a pineapple field.  I agree, a ramp is a ramp.
