Skyway Streetstyler
« on: December 07, 2010, 09:13 PM »
Evening all
Vert ego on ebay are selling Skyway Streetsyler F+F and bars for £200 (brand new NOS).  Quite fancy doing one up as I am getting addicted to this :D (the Ripper has all the parts, just ready to assemble over Christmas-photos to follow!).  Is it a project worth doing or is £200 a bit pricey? Give me your opinions folks!

Thanks

Chris

I'd say a bit pricey, plus its from vert-ego so I'd give it a miss as I personally wouldn't want to give him any of my dosh.

150 would be more like it I reckon?

You need to do some digging yourself about vert-ego and make up your own mind. I won't use him but if its what you want and no one else has it then its up to you.

if you have £200 you would be better off with a us made streetbeat as they are full cromo. i think the stylers used cheaper tubing and were made overseas

Chrome Skyway

You mean the T/A , you might need to put a bit more towards , usually go for around £350 plus, without bars that is

I've only seen one Chrome Streetbeat , I think it was Maurice Meyer's  :4_17_5:

StreetBeat rather than the Styler anyday!!  :daumenhoch:

One on the bay now at 99 quid with no bids.
Granted not NOS but at least your not shelling anything out to Dick Turpin.  ::)

here you go mate a NOS streetbeat  :2funny:

:LolLolLolLol: And people say Biagio is a bandit.  That price makes him look like a charity.

I remember when Ginny used to sell those f+f's for $50 + post.  By the the time shipping was applied, they used to cost around £50 to your door which was great now I think about it.  I wish you could still buy them for that sort of money as I'd definitely have another.  (maybe I should have bought a few and put them away - hindsight is a great thing isn't it?  :uglystupid2:)

About 6 years ago when I first started buying stuff for my ripper things were reasonably priced and in plentiful supply, alans bmx had loads of frames and forks, they have none now and everything is getting way overpriced :(

the good ole days them were.
plenty of supply of everything.

mind i have to say looking and finding them rare bits is what keeps me going with the hobby now.
that and restoring old stuff is more fun for me than rushing and doing a totally nos build.
