Start gate build advice
« on: November 28, 2010, 09:38 PM »
Hi

Can anyone help with some advice on building a single start gate.

I am not worried about the welding and ramp design.

I am interested in the electrics - lights, count down and what ram to use.

Thanks

I looked at making one a couple of years back.....air rams ain't cheap (even from local suppliers)

Have a look at

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

Thanks for the info.

I have been doing a quick search and http://www.get-a-gatecustombmxgates.com/4inch_atlas_cylinder.htm use Parker Cylinders. These are available and quite cheap from other suppliers.

Can I use these? If so what do I need to do and what parts do I need to operate the gate? has anyone got drawings or photos?

Thanks Matt
