mid school build...
« on: November 16, 2010, 01:54 PM »
I picked this up off eBay last week, kinda impulse things as I wanted something that I could restore, but not worry about binning it, and it had to be cheap.

I'm pretty happy with it as it stands, the chrome need another polish and I need some new tread too as you can see in the pic! Apart from that, its a mix match of bits. I've already rebuilt it and removed a few dents etc.

96 DB venom, raleigh rims, odyssey post, cranks, bars and tread.

What do you guys think?

Looks ok dunnit  :) but I'd get shot of those wheels and get some spokes one, less flex for the older gent!

Mid School is like old school but you can ride it!

I got a £80 Hoffman that I'm working on - because you are gonna be riding it its just more interesting innit!
Doesn't have to be perfect.. you can work on it and adapt it as you go... doesn't cost so much either... like old AND new school.

This is my new fav bit of the forum  :daumenhoch:

Well, its a rider, so I... well I drilled a very small hole the other side of the dent (right under the top tube), and used a copper rod and hammer to tap it out, it's not perfect, but about 80-90% better now. I plan on putting filling the hole with weld when I get time.
