Dp prototype freestyle frame NOW WITH PICTURES
« on: November 18, 2010, 06:53 PM »
Just sorted out a deal this week for a prototype freestyle frame. It's not everyones cup of tea but this is a one off frame and a nice bit of British bmx history.

I'll post up more info and pictures when it arrives!!

It was given to the seller by Dave park after the factory closed. I've seen pictures of it and it's in a sorry state. Will need a trip to SBD I think!!

It's all paid for and will be posted this week, fingers crossed
It's a bit rusty and will need a bit of work. I'd like to have it painted then show before and after pics. Also needs a set of forks,

This frame must be so rare I just had to buy it, and get it on the web site. Really don't think I'll build it up as I've just sold of most of my parts now, won't be buying them in again.

Last week I got an email through the Dp web site, I guy said he had this frame, wasn't sure what it was, so I asked for some pictures and I could clearly see it was DP made. After speaking with him on the phone he told me he knew Dave Park and that Dave had given this frame to him after the factory closed. He has know idea what it is, now to me it looks like someone was playing around with some ideas. I would say it's a one off, never been built up and there's a very good reason for this. It would be impossible to fit the chain. The 2 inner curved tubes block the path of the freewheel and chainring. Now I think the frame would look much better if these 2 tubes weren't there, nice to see something different but it clearly doesn't work.

That's all I can say really, steve
