Not sure about the spoke length Greg, but Race Lace spoke pattern is where all the spoke heads are on the inside of the spoke flanges, I know it can be spoked 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x but 4x was the bmx way iirc.

This is the pattern, as you can see all the heads point inwards......

I'd tried to do some info digging on Race Lacing for BMX's...but didn’t get very far  :'(

This is something to play with.... http://www.machinehead-software.co.uk/bike/spokes/spoke_pattern_explorer.html

And if you enjoy your teck stuff this is a very good read..... http://www.duke.edu/~hpgavin/papers/HPGavin-Wheel-Paper.pdf its a little bit out of date but the theory is sound  :coolsmiley:

Someone may correct me if I'm wrong, however I thought you only needed to race lace the rear, it was used to make the back wheel stiffer.... :-\

I wanted to do my rear "race lace" style but could find any info on how to lace em  :'(

Maybe some of the guys who raced BITD could shed some light on this  ;)

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

See my post above Peter, all spoke heads on the inside of the hub flange and then laced in the usual pattern.
