looks super sweet that Ed!!  love those!

with regards the rear AD brake snapping back?  you need to load the spring tensions on each side (not too much though) slacken off the allen key nut, then with a spanner turn the spring cap so it pulls the caliper off the rim, then tighten the allen key while holding the spring tension.  do both sides and bobs your uncle  :daumenhoch:

Rob - I tried that and they are pretty springy but when you put the cables on they loose all the snap... I'll keep fiddling.

( Gary - you got a PM on those tyres  :daumenhoch: )

Make sure you have the springs on the right way round mate.

alright man

thanks for your feedback mate - I appreciate your efforts to keep me from physical damage - if another pair came up that were full length I would deffo buy them - I need to check out the other bars you mention - Stodgy told me abotu some new school bars which are like the Hoffman ones but I havent looked at them yet - if my riding included anything burly then I would change em but I'm just gonna be crusing around... you have made me think now though  the extensions aren't solid but thicker tubing. I'll see if theres room on my xmas list for more bars  :)

I totally agree with you on the tyres but it wasn't until you said that I saw it - got some of those ones that Pickle mentioned on the way ( hopefully )

Will have to check about the springs as I had just put all the bits in a bag and didn't note right or left - without the cables on they seem to be springing back ok - but once all the cables via the gyro are on then it looses its snapiness.

gay name for a nice bike  :)

it was the bar extensions that perplexed me the most, they certainly look neat and would be fine for a show bike but i personally wouldnt advise riding with them,
if they are indeed solid then putting that much weight so far out on the bars would feel very weird to ride to me,
plus the fact that the insert is so close to the major stress area, fatigue over time could well end up in catasrophic failure and a sharp handlebar end to the face/throat/chest.
just buy some uncut bars, hoffman love handles, patriots, chocolates, castillo's, moes bars, would all work :daumenhoch:

the odyssey tyres are fine, they just look so thin on a chunky mid school ride, aesthetic taste i guess,

without sounding a twat, have you got the springs on their respective correct sides?
they are right and left specific,

do the arms bind on the posts at all?
try fitting the brake without the springs to check that the tensioner washer and bolt are working freely,

sweet bike.....
sugar baby........erm...........ok :-\

Put some Hoffman Skidmark tyres on there  :daumenhoch: A set of Primo 1.95 V-monsters would suit it as well & are easy to get, loving the Sugerbaby  8)

Wish those Hoffman tyres had amber walls... can't stand all black 'motorbike' tyres... got a phobia... will keep looking for a new school amberwall - cheers though

I've seen this bike in the flesh and it looks killer.

Drew lots of comments form everyone at the lost Lest'air sesh.

If you change the tyres deffo keep the Day Smiths cause in few years time they will be like gold dust (not far off now)

I had Ody path tan walls on the Holmes I was riding at Lest'air before I put the comp 3 re-issues's on. The paths were great but they weighed a ton (I know...Weird) and when your riding a Holmes it's best to keep the weight down where you can.

Alright Lenny - good to see you and the Nottz hardcore... braving the clear roads to get to Leicester  :LolLolLolLol:

I've gone for the Fit tyres with the pale walls that Stodgy has in the shop - they look sick - it looks very American  8)
