Can I kick things off...?
I don't know if this one counts- I did built it some time ago but after finally acquiring a few parts I can now say that it's finished.

1981 Robinson

. 1981 Robinson frame
. Robinson forks
. Robinson bars with Oakley B2 grips, Suntour stem and Tioga Bear Trap II headset
. MX1000 brakes with Dia-Compe Tech 2 levers
. Sugino crank, Sugino chain ring, Pro Class Power Plate and Tange sealed BB
. MKS Footjaw pedals
. Kashimax MX seat, Robinson seat post (RRP stamped) and Suntour clamp
. Ukai Speedline wheels with Suzue hubs
. Comp 3 tyres- 2.125/1.75
. Robinson press stud padset

Picture with the late Jeff Parscale's race plate.
With exception of the frame, forks and Power Plate all parts were NOS.

I do intend to fit a SR tubular crank that my other '81 Robinson came with from new, but promise not to re-post when I do.

;o)

I haven't entered a bike for a while now...sorry about that.  But...I'll be back to building now...so here we go.

This is my 1986 Mongoose Californian TC in show chrome.

It is my childhood bike...my actual 1st ever Mongoose...the Mongoose that started it all...my Pro Class obsession...  :LolLolLolLol:  I found it after many years recently and cleaned it up.

I have my original owners' manual (filled out by my Mom) and the cardboard handle bar cut out advertisement.

Here's the underdog!!

1985 Lew Ways Stinger Aero

This build was all about building a bike that bitd used copied parts from all the big manufacturers, so my headache was finding copies of all the popular parts!!!! I do have redrawn decals for it but my printer is indisposed until xmas so i will have to wait, and as my bikes are riders the condition will never be this good again, so i'm entering it now for botm

build thread here http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=114814.0

1985 Stinger aero F&F - repainted in ford diamond white- original chrome on forks
original CW copy handle bars - original chrome
Bernardi 6 spoke mag wheels
MX copy brakes and levers
oury copy waffle grips
iscaselle saddle [aeroyal copy]
Comp III copy gumwalls
survivor padset
MKS BM10 pedals [I just couldnt bring myself to put cheap pedals on a bike!]
red chain

Big thanks to Stevied for completeing the last part of the build with the saddle, cheers fella  :daumenhoch:

1984 Skyway TA X/L

This is my own personal grail in the sense that it's the bike I would have had when I was 14 - money no object.

It's probably the slowest build on the site given that I bought the f/f, bars, wheels and cranks back in 2003 but it took
months to find a chromers, then my son came along plus I didn't really know what I wanted to do with it!  Was also waiting
for a sunny day but in Scotland that could well be April 2011 so...here it is!

1984 Skyway TA X/L Frame and forks (rechromed)

Chainring:   Redline 44t Bubble font
Pedals:       Skyway Tuff Graphite
Chain:       Izumi Black and Silver
Seat:       Kashimax Super
Seat Post:   Shimano DX
Seat Clamp: Dia Compe MX
Heastset:    Tange Lp125
Grips:       Ame Cams
Tyres:          Fat n thin Mitsuboshi Comp 3s
Brakes:        Dia Compe Mx 1000, Tech 4, Clarkes Black n Silver and Skyway blocks

I think I can help here Rob...

Phil's bike didn't get as many votes ... that's why he didn't win.

Well done John on your 1st BOTM  :4_17_5:

I personally know how much time (nearly 2 years  :D) and effort you put into getting this one as close to factory spec as possible . The genunine stamped mongoose seat, 1st gen renthal post , genuine goose vinyl padset, original decal'd frame, and NOS straight out of  the box 1981 goose grips are all there .  Like Spen say's this build has been a real labour of love , total dedication to the mongoose brand and I think the RAD members have seen that and voted accordingly  ;)

Made up for you mate :daumenhoch:

Some real nice bikes again lads , well done to you all  :coolsmiley:

Nice one lads - absolutely over the fookin moon if I'm honest !!! :4_17_5:

Thanks to everyone who voted for me - truely appreciated  :daumenhoch:

Some real nice builds in there and a close count in the end with the the Curtis and The TA X/L  :coolsmiley:

Thought Phil's SJK Hurricaine would have faired better - a quality build from a quality man - seen it in the flesh and it's a stunner  8)

Once again thanks for the votes lads - happy as a dog with 2 dicks at the mo  :LolLolLolLol:
