Sounds great. Why dont we try and get some of the really old schoolers to come along for a BBQ/gettogether. Some of us are old and falling apart and the thought of riding a bmx again is a bit scary.

I remember Peterborough, raced many times there in the early 80's. The first straight was wicked. Is the track still in it's original form?

Re message- think its still on, did ask the organisers if we could make a bigger deal of it because I have a lots of contacts but they didnt seem that bothered.I was going to get the old hotshot team together

Hi all

I'm prerry sure that I shall go. I have also told quite a few old riders from the EA series (that raced till the mid 80's). Quite a few still have their race bikes too, so it will be good to see some old rides that don't see daylight anymore.

Hopefully it should be a good turnout.

Hi all

I have fired off an email to Jackie and have been looking at the clubs website for the last few weeks, but there have not been any updates that I could see.

I am looking forward to coming (and shall bring some bikes and also other old riders) but need to know a few things if anyone can help out.

Is there a fee to visit on the Saturday?

How much is parking for Saturday?

Is there a fee for showing bikes? (mine will not be for show n shine, more just old race bikes for others to see)

What time does the event start and when does it finish?

Car parking £3 for the day £6 for the weekend

No fee for showing bikes

The club will be onsite from 09:30. If there is an old school race it will be after practice, say 5:30ish. £5 registration with payback.

I'm going on the Saturday too. Hoping to get there early / mid morning and then shall take the day as it comes.

I hope that it is a great day and full of fun. I really wanted to go to some meets this year, but the Rad event is when the wife booked the family holiday

Good to meet you fellas that did turn up, Danny and Funmonster,have to say I did feel for you with the turn out,was a disapointment,I just hope MK is a good one for you all...........unfortunately I''l be on my hols!!!!

Hi all

It was a rather poor turnout for the old school, but it was good to meet some of you and put faces to names and have a chat. I also met some old riders and saw their sons too, plus had a few chats with x pro's and others that did the EA series.

I enjoyed riding various bikes, especially the Pro Class. I have also never been a big Burner fan, but did like the feel of the original Aero Pro that came under the tent for a while. It was also good to see some of the young riders and see what tricks they could do, and also listen to their stories. A pity the day went so quickly.

On the show side, their was a tent and chairs provided which was very kind, with Harris getting 2 bags of goodies for his Hutch then Slingshot with Funmonster in 3rd with his Torker. All very nice and clean bikes that got plenty of attention.

Thanks Jackie and everyone else for a great day out.

PS - It is not easy re-packing 9 wet and rusty bikes back into a car, but i'm glad that they got seen and brought smiles to some of the old riders faces.

Boy did the rain come down for a while and that wind........
