Brake rub on Tuff ll

Iv'e seen some alot of tuff's with brake rub on.    I've just changed my wheels to Black Tuff ll and at this moment have Dia Compe brake pads which are BLACK. Will these's pads be OK because there black? or will they mark? Should I be looking to get some black Tuff pads? are they made different to prevent marking?

All pads mark in some way as thats the nature of 'braking' but rocking black on black is going to make it less noticeable.

If you did get Tuff Pads then you would get more effective braking as they are made for the job

I have Stodgy's best clear pads on my white tuffs, they leave brown/red marks, dependant on where you ride. I's clearly not the pads, but the muck they rub in.

All comes off with some magic elbow.

  I'll think I'll get some black tuff pads and store it till the summer  . Any tips on how or what to clean brown brake marks/ stains of white tuffs?

Cif (thats Jif to us old schoolers), T cut, nail varnish remover, 1200 wet or dry.

use what shifts it easiest! I have tried them all, I like them with tan lines now!!

the best stuff i've ever used on tuffs is bar keepers friend, you can get it in asda. i tried loads of different things and nothing shifted brake rub as good as it, you dont need to use much elbow grease with it either. just a small amount on a damp cloth and away you go.

bar keepers friend eh. off to get some of that, had a set of white mags sat in bleach since 1pm yesterday, prior to that i rubbed them to death with jif to no avail, so once they are outta the bleach i will be trying this stuff, cheers for the advice

Saw soem of that Bar Keepers friend in CO-OP... was tempted 

will get some next time  and give it a raz.

Was also tempted by various JML products... like that magic stain rubber... and cleaning gel... anyone tried those?

brillo pad works with soapy water but its laborious

Haven't tried any think yet, Wifey said she will pick up some Bar Keepers friend at Asda and came back with out it  I'll pick some up and plus with all the over cleaning products Cif, nail varnish, bleech etc I now have, let you know what I found to work best.
