An old mate has given me a PK Ripper frame with Landing gear forks for my 10 y old son.
The seat stem tube where the the clamp goes has snapped off, is it repairable ,

Steve, if your interested posts are machined from solid, heat treated and polished @ £35 inc post.

i have stuff due to goto heat treatment in two weeks and it will help if you want one to get it all done together.

there are a few chaps on here with them and a few on the yank site if you need to check the quality out.

cheers

ok then, yes it must be my old frame, and yes i did snap/crack the tube by using a uni seat, then got a proper se seat post and superglued-or araldited it in, with the loose bit still attatched :4_17_5:

 :D
-It was nice to be aquainted with an old friend, but i didn't have it long bitd - didn't like racing it, swapped it for a newish
black chrome mini gt, then traded that for a robinson pro!
 :D

-plus -its all coming back to me, I sold Bob-the previous owner a set of ta cranks, he wanted my redline flights,
-and i fitted them to the above frame about 10 or more years ago - :LolLolLolLol: -after going round to show him where to put the semi auto trans fluid in a black bug he had!!!!!!
-c ;D

-it used to have renthals -tuffneck flightcranks, with a spider-i filed the spider, silver aero arayas with campy low flange hubs, a white hammerhead uni seat - later a elina with se post
-remember it with pro class wheels too, with white rim tape.

yesterday
I was going to buld it up and re decal it, but I suddenly remembered that it wasn't my property, and should leave it alone!!

-still there is no reason why it can't be ridden as is, although you cannot fit even old school seat pins in them as they are too big
-and a uni seat is too small, that is why they all broke there.-over tightening the seat clamp snaps them
-uni seats needed shims to fit other frames, the se chromoly seatposts were a specific size-for rippers
