Wonder Lights???
« on: April 16, 2006, 06:39 PM »
In the 80's round this neck of the woods they were the only lights deemed cool enough to have on your BMX. My Dad still uses my old one to see where he's going in the shed and i know neil (Region11) still has his, anyone else???

I still had one knocking around til a few months ago but chucked it out.  They were THE light....the ONLY light to have.....but...as you would have seen if I had continued to print pages from my 1985 diary...after getting them for xmas, some time in Jan I broke the bracket that held it and got a b*llocking :(

I had them too, on my Mongoose and possibly on the Race Inc too. I was a regular to blackheath dips and Lee Green where my riding buddies lived, and more often than not I would be riding home in the dark so the lights were a must  :daumenhoch:

yeah i had em too, remember they always moved after you did a jump, had to put bits of old inner tube between the clamp and the frame to stop them moving

they are massive compared to modern lights, but were usefull as you could unclip them and use them as torches in derelict houses!
