Powerlite freestyler from around 97ish from the dropouts + platform- my mate Parksy had one around that time.
ps - yer, Its probly worth buying - powerlites are hard to come by now. P61s were nice.

your friend might have been right at least with the 'havoc' bit
->

jac114 on pinbike.com
powerlite seems to have belonged to GT since bout 86-87 --- so i guess one could call yer bikes a GT in a broader sense (
built by GT in USA... depending on year tho...)
->
http://powerlite.wordpress.com/about/
we might be able to narrow down the year of your bike --in case its an Expert (only then?)-- abit if we knew if it needs a 1'' or 1 1/8'' headset --- have a read, there seem to be some experts --former GT employees f.ex.-- here who you could ask
->
http://powerlite.wordpress.com/gt-era-powerlite/
maybe there's some residue from the decals..... maybe the shape allows conclusions..... also frame# etc .....just in case you want to bring it back to orig spec
nice chromey 90s rride
..............but looks cool in purple, too

Well here's the pics as promised, all 12 of them lol...
Defo a powerlite Havoc.....And the GT wheels are gonna be a nice touch....although the diamondback seat seems old and why its on here i dont no??
Also does anybody think that these wheels would have been origanal on the havoc?? as its a GT spin off...
anywayz here's the pics lots of work to do yet....
Ive also got a mongoose Pro 2004 frame,forks,seat,bars,grips, backbrake etc needs a chain and a back wheel but if anybody has anything that i could use on this project then i would be happy to swap, would love some dia-compe brakes...............

WHEELS: on this (following) site are listed the specifications of three havocs --- there is a 1998 model
-->
http://www.bikesdetails.info/Powerlite_Havoc_1998.html
That one at least is said to have had rims --- dont know if that site is that reliable source; maybe others have better/more specific spec sites ?!?
RUST: there's threads on here how to fight the rust ---- 'oxalic' me thinks would be the word to search for. I hope the chrome is not too shot... (that a hole in the downtube? pic#10) . ....purple
?
disc and cranks seem original ................. gyro (SST Oryg detangler ) seems to have parts missing
I'm sure someone on here will have some dia-compes ....... had a look in the sale section yet?
