I put some new red tyres on it to ride it around for a couple weeks just to check it rode ok, when i was satisfied it rode nice i stripped it to begin the resto

Looking through the bits, it was apparent that no amount of autosol was going save the brake calipers, the pics make them look good but i cant save them, so a shiny new set of MX copies with levers have been ordered, obviously proper DC brakes would look out of place on this woolies special

the previous owner had very kindly 'touched up' the bike all over in a nice magnolia colour, taking great care not to paint under the pads etc!!

Hair dryer and patience to remove the graphics to be scanned and redrawn

even the graphics got abrushed touch up

Onto the crank, this had also been treated to some love and careful restoration with black paint so thick it was like wax

under the paint more horrors

even after some hardcore polishing, still poop

so if anyone has a cheap as chips crank with this branded on one side and TAIWAN on the other, drop me a pm

few more bits got the autosol treatment

The frame is currently having a nice bath of nitro mors as we speak

Spray a set of tuffs silver and but a cream leather padset on it and your sorted

Just got finished out side with the frame just as the heavens opened

under the magnolia paint and powder, the welds are a beautiful sight of smoothness and the drop outs are unmarked

weather permitting primer tomorrow

No i'm in herefordshire, I have family in cannock, litchfield and wolverhampton

I remember as a kid drivingpast the lew ways toy factory wishing I could have all the toys inside

I'm a graphic designer so i'll just redraw them and I have a good friend thats a signwriter so no problem, hardest job and one i've never done is bleaching the mags

left and right chainstays, i have modified these from the originals, vanity meant i couldnt ride around on a bike that said Playway on it !!!!!!!!

Postmans just been, wooo parcels

some wicked MX copy brakes, just perfect for this build, i love these sooo much!!!!!
red cables
red waffle style grips, not really accurate, but at the right price
and a huge seatpost, had to buy an mtb one as its 28mm and i like my saddle up and this 400mm bad boy with micro adjust is just the ticket, and also i like the way a micro adjust seatpost looks, you'll notice i have one on the wildcat styler too

had a quick finger tight build up when i got home, the cables are a 'touch' long, and now the mags look so yellow

going to have to take the plunge and bleach them, also the saddle look so orange

not happy about this at all

Pads scrubbed, cables clippped, new paint polished, uou cant tell in the pics because of the bad lighting, but the white gleams so nice you can see your reflection in it

i dont think its a nylon seat tbh, could be wrong though
