1985 MT Racing JUNIORFOX !
« on: September 21, 2010, 10:22 PM »
I have always had a soft spot for MT Racing bikes (bit like Nath :D) , A Silverfox was my first BMX bitd and I still have my original bike which was my first resto on here , looking back I would probably do that different now with the stuff I have learned from here  ::).

Massive THANKS goes to Southern Andy who did me a great deal on this bike , cheers Andy ,appreciated  :4_17_5:
Just hope I have done it justice mate  ???  You can now concentrate on those Two new resto's you have on the go  ;)

There's a bit of a story behind me getting this bike as it was originally put up for sale on RAD and John (bobafett) kindly dibbed it for me , when I PM'd the lad he was reluctant to post it and did say he had offered it to someone else who was local. I left it at that thinking I would never see it again  :'(  Well 8 month's or so later it's finally in my possession thanks to the 'local' man , Andy  :D

The bike wasn't in too bad condition when it arrived , mainly surface rust etc . It was fully stripped down and given the good old Lemon juice and tin foil treatment . The wheels were fully stripped down , re greased and then I re laced them with a new set of chrome spokes . Most of the other parts are survivor , just cleaned/polished etc

Must also say a big thankyou to Del, RAD's very own decal master , your a star mate  :4_17_5:  I might treat you to a beer at BERMingham if your lucky  ;)  I actually PM'd Del on Tuesday morning with an order for 6 sets of decals and by Thursday they were all in the post on the way to me   Top service Del  :daumenhoch:

Im really pleased with how it has turned out and can't wait to get cracking on a chrome MT Silverfox I have here .

How it arrived .....

and after a bit of TLC ..........

What ya reckon lads  ???

It might even get an outing at BERMingham as it's just the right size for me !!   ::)

Top man that Andy bloke.  :LolLolLolLol:

I originally bought it for my daughter but it took me so long to collect it from Paul that when i did she'd grown and was too big for it. I think if Joff hadn't PMed me about it, the bike would still be round Pauls now. Joff's PM prompted me to get off my arse and collect.

Two days later it was heading up North.

Joff has done a superb job on this and i'm well happy it to see it like this.

Mint as hell that is.  :4_17_5: :4_17_5:
One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.
