Vector Mark 2, my second one.
« on: September 20, 2010, 08:41 PM »
It's been a while that I've build a bike ( wasn't in the mood lately for building bikes).
Last weekend I started on this bike and it came out great, I'm 200% satisfied!
Before:

Today:

Part list:
Vector Mark 2 f&f (there was a kind of serial hand painted in the BB, 0883NL WIEBE, think it's the export date to Holland), Vector Unlimited handlebar, some seatpost with Vector decal, Mori Epoch headset, Oakley O-Wing grips, Dia Compe MX 900 brake with Tech III lever and Dia Compe brakecable, Dia Compe double bolt seatpost clamp, Kashimax MX seat, ACS Z-rims, Suntour hubs, alloy axle nuts, Tioga Comp III tires, Redline 401 flight with Sugino MX A5 spider, Pete's Precision Products chainwheel, Tioga BB, Shimano freewheel, DID chain, Shimano DX pedals, selfmade Vector pad set.

Sweet build  :smitten:

Are they genuine Vector Haro bars?  They look a little laid back  :-\.

these bars are Vector Unlimited bars (were nos with orginal chrome/black Unlimited decal)
I've read somewhere that Bob Haro bars are little different (don't know if that's true).
I've another nos "Vector Bob haro" style bar in chrome and those are totally different, supose it's a copy because no decals on that bar.
The copy bar don't have the same bend forward like the Vectors (less bended forward) and they look smaller, and no knurling (or how to say those lines in the metal?) on the steering tube.

Just an idea , those bars were possibly marketed around a similar time to this ad below ? ................

if you google  "vector  unlimited bars" then you can find some info.
some say it's depending where they were made?
the bob haro replica bar was already in the 1983 ads,.
i'm a little confused now too and would like to know the details about unlimited and bob haro bars.
