Powdercoat stripping tips please?

Hi all. Can someone tell me the easiest, cheapest and best ways to strip a frame, forks, bars and seat post ready for re powdering please? Is there anything I need to do to them afterwards before sending for powdering? Thanks for your time

I stripped my sons GT race bike back to the alloy using nothing more that a tin of Nitromors, a paint brush, water to wash it off, took about 3 hours

Thanks for the tip. Will I get nitromors from a car parts shop or anywhere like B&Q? Do I need to do anything to the bits after to prep for powdering? Thanks again for your help. Will this also work on cranks as I have a White 401 flight to strip down too.

Nitromores won't remove powder
You need permatex gasket remover

If your sending it to dan , he will do all the prep for you

the gay pensioner is right, Nitomors won't touch powdercoat.  I went to a local car body supply suppliers and bought some really strong paint remover and that takes it off but it is a long job.

It removed all the paint from the GT, maybe not powder? 2008 Power series came off very easy

It removes paint alright , but believe me it won't touch decent  powder

Mate it's a no brainer to send to anyone else 
I made that mistake when I first started
A local guy did it for £15
And it was a bag if shite

As said , dan will remove the powder for you
And refinish as part of his service

if your tight and what to remove it yourself then buy a wire wheel in a drill it works but it messy i stripped a burner frame n forks in about 30 minutes and ware a mask

I was going to do my other sons Redline using the same thing, it came of the GT fine, bubbled up like a goodun  , will have to try on a small bit first before I strip it all down, maybe I was lucky

tbh who ever you use should be able to strip the old paint for you,  saves you £15 to £20

on strippers that may not work
