survivor build TRM
« on: September 13, 2010, 12:04 PM »
i have found myself getting more and more into survivor bikes, i do like a nice shiny show pony as well but theres just something about a survivor that make me want one, so i thought sod it, il build one.
got this f+f a little while ago from dordymush and from the word go it was gonna get built as a survivor. i had a chrome one of these as a kid and i have wanted one for the past 4 or 5 years. i have a minty yellow one as well but its too nice to ride and i want to take this one out and about, so ive started building it up today as i would have done 20 years ago which means whatever ive got in the garage is whats getting used. tried to use as little new bits as i can and as many specific bits that i remember my one having on it, and ive even opted to use some wrong colour bits as well as thats what ive got here, and when i was younger all the bikes i ever had never really had matching bits, they were just whatever was around to hand or swapped from one of my mates bikes.

i do however need some used skinwall tyres of some description any colour, dont even need to be matching pair or colour...

agree with you about the tyres shoppers would look good, also think a powerdisc like a mirage or sugino would look good     :)
