lacquer over vinyl stickers

Chaps.

A quick question for anyone with experience?

Can I spray normal car paint lacquer over the top of some small custom cut Vinyl stickers? As they are pretty delicate and I want to prevent them from being rubbed about.

I have done a small test and it looks to be ok but in the past I have had disasters so wanted to see if anyone had some suggestions to share?

Much appreciate any help
Regards

Simon

motorbikes always have there decals laquared over, as long as your carefull (as the laquar will easily run on decal) you should have no problems...
R.I.P  O.M. Far short of the finish line...
