i get more pissed off when somebody begs something off me with a sob story and bargaining me down only to sell it on for a profit a couple of weeks later, when i could have sold it at that price myself.

Funny you should say that.  Everytime there's certain old BMX bikes on ebay, there's always someone who reckons that bike is exactly the same one they had as a kid and that they'd dearly love to have one again...  Cheap as possible, though.  Must be a standard blag.
