would it be possible to do some brazing with a refillable blowtorch that uses lighter gas?

cheers for the offer mate, they are chrome though, does that make em harder to weld?

you would need to grind off/remove the chrome to weld it, no major problem if your using them as it would be covered by the grips  ;)

cheers for the advice mate I'll be sure to grind the chrome down on that area, I've ordered the blowtorch now will lt you know how it goes  :daumenhoch:

bear in mind you'll have to achieve temperatures above 840 F.

If they are for a rider then you would best go for a fused joint and get them welded using mig or tig.
