Getting scuffs out of saddles
« on: August 23, 2010, 05:42 PM »
Got a bargain black Elina Flyte Tech off the bay with one or two scuffs to the back. They're not really bad, but any one got any advice on how to clean up and restore colour?

I thought about using a blade to tray and 'shave' any rough bits smooth.....but I still cut meself most mornings!  I dont want to dye the whole thing as other than the scuffs it's a minter with perfect decals.

Any ideas appreciated and I'll try to add pics later.

Try a very fine grade wet and dry or some plastic polish from halfords, I think its called plastx.

I was going to post a similar thread. Just got a black shotgun2. It's been rubbed down with wet n dry on the tail and it's not the best look. The nose looks like it's been scuffed with a hack saw. Would love to know how to try n repair it. I know solvol do plastic polish. Was thinking of looking on some plastics forum for a solution or get it warm and try smoothing it!?
