Redline 500a...doing my nut in!
« on: August 20, 2010, 06:18 PM »
Right...here's my problem!

Just rebuilt my 500a....dropped the front wheel in...there is quite a bit of play in the fork dropouts so this means the axle moves around a bit, so when you tighten the thing up and stand it on its wheels the front wheel is kicked over making it all out of line....now its not a massive amount but its noticeable and im a bit of a perfectionist!

I was wondering if there is like a locator missing or something (can any 500a owners chirp in)?

It has original Redline forks and Ukai rims so all that bit is right...driving me mental!  :tickedoff:

:) Have you measured the axle diameter & the slot diameter? Some forks need wheel centering washers.. :daumenhoch:

You mean the ones with the tab on that hooks in the forks? If so i cant use these as there are no holes in the fork dropouts.....

Or the droput saver style ones?

:) Think they`re known as tophat washers, often needed for Haro forks.

You need the wheel retaining washer/top hat as previous poster mentions.
