HAS ANYBODY TRIED TO GET A STEM RE'ENGRAVED ????

i've an early tuf neck stem that the stap is very weared.
was wondering whether a trophy engravers or the likes would be able to re do it.
anybody tried this yet ?.

see pete .. he buys all the helix stems and gets the tiger stamp engraved on em ..then knocks em out again

i was thinking the same thing, going to take a dk stem next week to be done, they should be able to do it no problem

be cool to see how it comes out.
like you say it should'nt be hard to copy the writing round.
only prob i've got is the T is gone totally on my stem.
i might have to try and get a good pic and print it off to see if they can copy it from that.

going to try tinternet and see if someone somewhere has the correct software

just bring it in mine mate ...  With a photo of the logo we can re-draw it for you ......... then you can take it to anyone... unless you want me to try with my 8' x 4' router

Well i had a play with my router today for Gaz and here is the results..... This is a big machine and can route 8' x 4' sheets easily ...  This was done without even putting the engaving head on ...  It could be better, but a great start..  Just 0.3 of a mm to deep im thinking ....

         This is how it started               
                                           
        Sanded the face clean               
                                             
        The Router                               
                                             
        Ready to go                 
                                             

 And the end result, it is very slightly to deep but the next one will be perfect....... Im going tho get the tuf neck tiger drawn up and see how it goes..

                                                           

Not bad for the first go,but gaz is getting this powdered so it should look ok

I'll do some more testing and copy the tuf neck logo and tiger and do some test runs on engraving Laminate....
