Black metal hubbed mags  8) is there anything written on them?

Never seen skyway with reflector holders, thats why I'm asking  ;)

oh, and if the pedals really are what they look like -- shimano dx's -- you have found something nice there in any case. Threads on here on how to refurbish them  :daumenhoch:

Based on those wheels looking like copy Skyways it may follow that the pedals are copy Shimano DXs ...

give it a good clean though and take some more pics ... are you interested in restoring it or just flogging it  :-\

naaa, dusty tires is where it's at  ;)

lol, searching on the web for info on "stratton cycles", you will almost certainly immediately come across some silly radster : http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=37147.msg387770#msg387770  ;D  .....not givin up yet tho

I'd be surprised if that bike was not from like around '82-83

Have you had a look at the mags yet, do they say SKYWAY TUFF II WHEELS or smth like that ?

these guys seem to have found one, too
http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=175755&p=1

its serial# is 840903863   which might indicate that it's from 1984

nother similar (?) one sighted on rad:               http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=43736.5
it, too, has #beginning with 84 (--> YF-840602757)........ aha?

if your # is similar (starting with 84....), i'd check with issues of (for example) "BMX Action" magazine from 1984 : scans of which to be found here www.23mag.com.

Might find it in there, but might not (as seeming to be a 'catalogue bike' --as several people have now indicated[ ->links]-- hm

About the worth --I cant say. I already indicated that certain parts could also be interesting for others who are planning to build up other old school bikes. Do the bars have a sticker on it? What does it say? (All the infos you can get...)

Would be cool to see it coming back to life tho  ;)

myam myam  :)

They were definitely sold by the catalogues, my mate had a different one and thats were he got it, that was about 1983.

I'm fairly sure that's the model that came out next so I reckon it's about 1984.

Don't know of any BMX bikes from before 81 with " Aero" tubing ,,only round tubes

That's before the serial confirmed it  :)

Value at the mo I'd say , around a £100 to someone who wants one ,

but moderately restored maybe upto £220 ,,  to someone who wants one  :)

Ammaco, Falcon, Huffy  price region-ish  :)
