Crushed skyway alloy hub?
« on: August 07, 2010, 07:11 PM »
Just seen a post for some skyways for sale with a crushed hub, reminded me I've got one in the shed bought off ebay with a slightly crushed hub. Any tips on pulling it out?

Cheers.

you mean you want to straighten the flange or remove the entire hub and replace it?

I'd say he's asking about returning the hub to it's correct state not removing it.  Some have done it with a drift and a hammer and slowly tapped it back into shape by placing the drift against the back of the flange.  Have a look in the Resto Stickies section at the top of the page, there may be more info in there  :daumenhoch:.
