92' Robinson Amtrac
« on: September 24, 2010, 10:13 PM »
You have more than likely seen this frame and fork on here before built up as Beards OS racer a couple of seasons back. Well here is my take on the bike, I built it up tonight. It just needs a freewheel, pedals and the chain fitting.

92 amtrac frame
Gt race forks
GT 2nd or 3rd generation race hubs with hollow axles on sun levanter rims
GT race tyres(side walls are well worn but plenty of life left in them)
Fly racing bars
Hutch headlock
Tech V lever
Odyssey pitbull and seat post
TNT seatclamp and inverted cruiser stem
powerlite seat
profile crank and chainring

The stem pad is big enough to be a man nappy... Im going to replace it with either a plain black pad of normal size or maybe just not have a pad there. Ive got a late 80's zeronine number plate coming from the US for it and ive eyed up a pair of real nice pedals for it(funds permitting).

Mr Beard, the red powder used is such a real nice colour. I cant stop looking at it, still a few mods to do yet. Do you still have the chrome amtrac?

Lovely   :daumenhoch:. Some of the best looking bikes ever seem to come from this time, pre aluminium strangeness  ;). Wish I had the forks.

The early 90's to mid 90's GT made chromo race frame sets deffo build up in race bike beautys. :smitten:
Your forks look like they are the same unit as fitted to this bike. I think next I would like to build up a 90'sm GT chromo racer(as long as its a 21" TT as least).

Sadly the chrome one has gone as well... I've really down sized my collection of bikes over the past 12 months.

Miss them both...
