What fork would you suggest
« on: September 14, 2010, 06:12 PM »
Getting another spesh fat boy next week but this ones a hemi comp. Its identical to this http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/specialized/19189 but its just the frame.  Obviously no point hoping to get hold of some original ones so looking for a few pointers/ideas on which route to go.  The ones on the bike i linked above are not original and i dont like em at all, i want a nice chunky set to go with the frame.
cheers for reading

Really, one type of fork set the standard for the 90s- s&m pitch forks.  Exposure legs were a sort of copy.  I think as its a race frame, how about 'answer' race forks- I think thats what the company name was.

I had Sunn forks on mine. You can still get`em-BMX City and Groove both had them a while back real cheap.Look like the bastard son of Bottemas and Landing Gears. :daumenhoch:

Will have a look cheers, have always like landing gears.
With regards to the answer ones, that was what i had in mind to start. Had a look at the carbon ones and they are weight restricted to just under a ten stone rider so dont think iim gonna have any joy with them lol

Even if they didnt have that problem their maximum weight of rider using the fork is not far off half my weight.
I really do love the look of them though
