Whats the best way too remove one of these?
Just had my forks powdered by Dan and got a new headset. The headset comes with a FSA Conix top cap which doesn't use the SFN. Is there a easy way to remove it without bashing it all the way through and possibly damaging my new powder job as it comes out the bottom. Or should I just re-use my old top cap and SFN. Or just bash it far enough down to be out of the way $:-\$

fiddly job ,but i did it with some long nose pliers and bent them up one by one
the ones lower down i used a mega long thin punch and taped each one until it moved up and out
took a while but was being carefull..or i just bash the holy crap with a big punch ...both work

forks upside down, old seatpost in the steerer.

just push it further in with a socket extention or screw driver and leave it you wont dammage the powder on the forks then

Couldn't find a old school seat post, And the tabs on the SFN were too big to bend with pliers. So I just bashed it down out the way

Most people do it that way but some people on MTB forums have to knock it right out as they're worried about the weight of an extra fangled nut - perverts.
