Any idea what era/year this padset?

I'm thinking mid but not sure? (camera shows them a kind of blue but they're actually purple!)

Also were they for a particular bike or just a generic padset for any ride?

Packaging says 'Produced by D.J.Scott Manufacturing Inc, Laguna Hills California' (yep I opened the bag!)

 this oldschool bmx shop says 90's logo, but sells it as 'brand new'
